Berlin Twitter Wall

To commemorate 20 Jahre Mauerfall – the 20th anniversary since the fall of the Berlin Wall, the city has launched the Berlin Twitter Wall, an interactive online memorial which aggregates tweets posted with the #fotw hashtag.

It is fascinating to see lot of the content being posted by Chinese speakers, who in the context of remembering the Berlin Wall, are drawing a parallel to the iconic wall of todays world – the Great Firewall. Where political walls were once geographic and physical, they are now digital.
