Porn Attention Data
Talking to a friend the other night who remarked that she thought surely most people still use the internet for porn, just like always? Which got me thinking about the latest movements towards logging attention data, which often seems to be contextualized as data recorded from the click stream of a web browser.
So how does wholescale porn browsing fit into this picture of users owning their attention data? Will people instinctively want to cover their tracks? Or will some embrace this as an opportunity to reflexively explore their own particular fetishes?
Turns out that Krister Olsson has already explored various patterns of porn surfing, leading to construction of an innovative set of model forms representing viewing habits. (via Information Aesthetics)
