Orwell the blogger

The diaries of George Orwell are now being published in blog format by The Orwell Prize. The diaries begin in August 1938 and cover the period up until October 1942. They're being timed to appear exactly 70 years to the day after they were written.

The first entries are rather domestic so far, detailing the catching of a snake and a yellow moon. Expect it to get interesting around the 7th of September, when the so-called 'political' (war) diaries begin.
